One of the really lovely aspects of moving TSH to a cool climate area is the stunningly beautiful displays of a deciduous fruit/nut tree crop. There is very little that can match up to a legion of bare branches covered in a mass of glorious colour. Be it on a cherry, peach, apple or almond... And over the past week that's exactly what has occurred. The precocious individual is a strapping young almond that has burst out into glorious, with an almost bridal blush, white filling the surrounds with the heady scent of pollen. It is being closely harried by a pink peach... though I'll throw up a few photos of that as it blooms. |
